SETTING ANCHOR IN BIMINI

Bimini Bay features the largest state-of-the-art marina complex in The Bahamas, boasting more than 230 slips. The Fisherman's Village Marina (136 slips) and the Mega-Yacht Marina (96 slips) form the centerpiece of the resort, and are equipped with concrete floating docks as well as long-term dockage and ownership plans. The marinas are located at 25-42-6 N/ 7 9-18-6 W, on the North end of North Bimini. The Dockmaster is available by radio on VHF 68. MARINA RULES & REGULATIONS

Use of Bimini Bay's marina is at your sole risk. It is acknowledged that the marina's liability shall be limited to breach of its obligations to provide use of and management of the marina. The marina shall not be liable for the care or protection of any vessel (including gear, equipment and contents) or for loss, damage or injury to persons including death, or loss or damage of any type or nature to any vessel, its gear, equipment or contents, however occasioned. In no event will the marina be responsible for any consequential loss.

Storm Events
Bimini Bay and its personnel, are not responsible for vessels before, during or after storm events.
Vessel(s) owners are expected to remove their vessels prior to storm events, at their discretion.
In the event that removal of a vessel is not possible, vessel owners are responsible for securing their vessels.
Vessels must be safely secured within the slip with lines adequate for present and forecasted weather conditions.
In the event a vessel damages the marina (piers, hardware, pedestals, seawall) the vessel owner will be responsible for reimbursing the marina for repairs.
In the event a vessel sinks, the vessel owner must re-float the vessel within 48 hours.
In the event that environmental remediation is needed (i.e. spilled oil, fuel) action will be initiated without notice to the vessel owner and the vessel owner billed for the expense.

Vessels must be operated, secured and equipped as to not represent a hazard to the facility, other vessels or the vessel itself.

Advertising or soliciting (i.e. For Sale signs) shall not be permitted on any vessel or dock in the marina. Furthermore, neither the vessel name nor the marina address shall be used for business purposes without the expressed written consent of the marina.

Docks must be kept clear at all times of hoses, lines, cords, tables, coolers etc. Nothing may be affixed, altered or removed from the docks and piers without the expressed written consent of the marina.

Fish cleaning stations, and the area surrounding, are to be washed down and cleaned after use. Fish carcasses are to be disposed of in a proper manner as not to end up floating throughout the marina.

Golf carts are not permitted on the marina's perimeter walkways or common areas. Dock carts are provided for your convenience. Please be courteous and return them to the marina after use.

Ordinary light maintenance may be permitted on the vessel in the marina. Any work done to the vessel must not create a disturbance, endanger, damage, obstruct or deface the marina's facilities or other vessels.

Charcoal or open fire grills are not permitted at any time. Electric grills are permitted.

No fireworks of any kind are permitted on marina property.

Pumping of oily bilges or the discharge of any oil, spirits or inflammable liquids is strictly prohibited within the marina.

Heads must not be discharged overboard while the vessel is in the marina. All government and environmental laws related to the discharge of any materials in the waterways must be adhered to.

No vessels or motors will be refueled while in the marina.

Noise shall be kept at a minimum at all times to avoid creating a nuisance or disturbance.

Quiet hours will be enforced between 10:00pm - 10:00am.

Disorderly conduct on a vessel, on the dock or within the marina is prohibited and shall be cause for immediate removal of the vessel from the marina and the individual(s) involved.

Pets are permitted only if they do not create any disturbance and must be kept on handheld leashes at all times. Pet owners are to cleanup after their pet.

Swimming, diving or fishing is not permitted from the docks or finger piers.

All vessels are to be maintained in a sound and seaworthy condition. When this fails to occur and/or the marina considers there to be a risk of sinking, fire or other such hazard, the marina may, at its sole discretion, give the vessel owner adequate time to correct the problem(s).

NO WAKE areas must be observed at all times.

Dinghies, jet skis and any other secondary smaller vessel may only be left in the water if the owner is aboard the vessel. At all other times they must be stored on the vessel or in a rented slip. At anytime, if left in the water, secondary smaller vessels MUST fit within the confines of the slip. Using vacant slips or tying between pilings is not permitted.

If a slip is rented through the marina, the rental fee does not include electricity or water charges; these are billed separately.
